MAYAがお二人の家となる日。
おっとりされたお人柄で優しさ溢れる新郎様。しっかり者でいつも明るく周りを笑顔にしてくれる新婦様。 「ただいま」 初めて訪れた場所なのにそう言いたくなるような空間と仰ってくれた新婦様は、MAYAを見つけたとき、”理想になかった理想”を見つけられたような感覚になったんだ と教えてくれました。 新郎様もまた、MAYAに初めて訪れた際、たいせつな人たちとテーブルを囲んで談笑する自分たちの姿が真っ先に思い浮かんだと話してくださり、私たちも不思議とお二人とのご縁を感じていました。 そんなお二人の結婚の日は、お二人きりで過ごす時間からはじまりました。 新婦様が一人暮らしをされていた時から家族として迎え入れたモルモットの”あくびちゃん”を連れ、MAYAに来てくれたお二人。 翌日に迎えるハレの日のため、たいせつなゲストの皆様を想いながら一生懸命準備を進めます。 お料理が得意で普段からさまざまなお料理を新郎様のために作ってこられたという新婦様は、ご準備がひと段落したあと、早速キッチンに立たれます。 この日に作られたのは、翌日のハレの日に備えて、ヘルシーな蒸籠を使った蒸し料理。 この日の夜は、なんだかいつもお家で過ごされているお二人の様子を覗かせてもらっているような、そんなほっこりする時間でした。
そして迎えたハレの日当日。
ご両家のご家族、職場の方々、ご友人の皆様を迎えはじまった挙式披露宴。 お越し頂いた皆様にワクワクしてもらいたい、そんな想いからご準備をされたさまざまな仕掛けの一つとして、お席まで進む際のエスコートカードを皆様にお配りしました。 皆様楽しそうにご自身のお席を探され、ゲスト同士の会話も自然と増えていきます。 そして挙式の結婚証明書の代わりとして、サンルームに飾られたまっさらな花瓶。こちらには、たいせつなゲストの皆様にお好きなカラーでペイントをして頂きました。 挙式の際には、完成した色鮮やかな花瓶へお二人がお好きなお花を活けて皆様へご披露を。 そして指輪の交換の際には、新郎様のたいせつな家族の一員であるワンちゃんの”ミルキーちゃん”にも指輪を運ぶお手伝いをして頂きました。 賑やかな披露宴が結んだ後には、ゆったりとしたご家族だけのお時間。 この日は新婦家がお好きだという”すき焼き”を家族みんなで作られました。披露宴の際、賑やかだったダイニングには、ご家族だけの笑い声が響き、新婦様や親御様と一緒にキッチンに立ち、一生懸命お米を研がれてる新郎様の後ろ姿がとても微笑ましく感じました。
The day MAYA becomes the couple’s home.
The groom has a gentle personality and is full of kindness. The bride is a reliable person who always makes everyone around her smile with her cheerful personality. “This is our home.” The bride told us that when she found MAYA, she felt as if she had found “an ideal that had not existed.” The groom also told us that when he visited MAYA for the first time, the first thing that came to his mind was a picture of them sitting around a table chatting with their valued guests. We also felt a wonderful connection with the couple. Their WEDDING DAY began with a time spent only by themselves. The couple came to MAYA with their guinea pig, “Akubi-chan,” which had been adopted as part of their family since the bride was living alone. They worked hard to prepare for the following day’s special occasion, thinking of their valued guests. The bride, who is a good cook and had always prepared a variety of dishes for the groom, stood in the kitchen as soon as the preparations were complete. She prepared a healthy steamed dish in a steamer basket for the following day’s special occasion. It was such a heartwarming time that I felt as if I had been getting a peek into the couple’s everyday life at home that evening. Then came the day of the special occasion. The ceremony and reception began with the couple’s families, co-workers, and friends. As part of the various gimmicks the couple prepared to make everyone feel excited, the couple had “escort cards” distributed to guests for seating. Everyone seemed to enjoy looking for their seats, and conversations among the guests naturally increased. And as a substitute for a marriage certificate at the wedding, a fresh vase was displayed in the sunroom. We asked their valued guests to paint it in their favorite colors. During the ceremony, the couple arranged their favorite flowers in the completed bright vase and showed them to everyone. When the rings were exchanged, “Milky-chan,” the groom’s beloved family dog, had a part in carrying the rings. After the lively reception, the couple and the parents had a relaxing time. On that day, the family cooked “sukiyaki,” a favorite of the bride and her parents. The busy dining room was now filled with the sound of family laughter, and the sight of the groom working hard to wash rice in the kitchen with the bride and her parents made me smile.
