大好きな人と過ごす日。
「当日は我が家に遊びにいくような気持ちでいらしてください。」 ”間家にいらっしゃる家族や友人も幸せな日になるように”と願いを込めて ゲストの方を想って２泊3日の1日1日をていねいに準備されたお二人。
結婚の日 １日目。
ご両家の親御さまもご一緒に6名でお過ごしになられた初日。 みなさまでMAYAのキッチンでお料理されて、ご夕食を召し上がっておりました。 二つの寝室では新郎家、新婦家それぞれおやすみになることに。 ご両親と川の字になっておやすみになられることは、お二人にとっていつぶりだったのでしょうか。 ハレの日前夜の寝室。ご様子を直接見ることはできませんが、きっとみなさまにとって一生忘れられない時間だったのではないかと思います。 結婚の日
２日目。
快晴で空気の澄んだ気持ちのいい朝でした。 おむすびとお味噌汁のシンプルなご朝食を召し上がると、みなさまお支度へ。 お酒が好きな新郎様、お料理が得意な新婦様は、ゲストのみなさまにお食事の時間を存分に楽しんでもらいたいという想いから、複数種類のアルコールとソフトドリンクをお持ち込みされました。豊富なドリンクメニューを新郎様からご紹介いただき、ゲストに振る舞うと、皆様お料理に合わせてお好きなドリンクを楽しそうに選ばれておりました。 お色直しでは、日頃からお世話になっている美容師の方にお願いして、新婦様が思い切ってヘアカット。突然ショートカットになって現れた新婦様の姿に歓声が湧きました。 ずっとこのために伸ばし続けてきた髪の毛をバッサリと切った新婦様の解放感と満足そうな表情が忘れられません。 「いつか結婚式をする時にはお願いしたいと思っていた」と言葉を詰まらせながら感謝の気持ちをお伝えした時はみなさまの涙を誘いました。 ケーキカットでは新婦様が手作りしたスプーン型クッキーでファーストバイトをしたり、ゲストのお子様にはお菓子でできたブーケをお渡しするなど、お二人らしいこだわりのあるハレの日となりました。 結婚の日
３日目。
みなさまでご朝食を召し上がった後、ご兄弟のご家族もいらっしゃり総勢12名で賑やかなBBQを行いました。 3日目ということもあり、すっかりリラックスされたご様子で、団欒のお時間を過ごされた皆様。 お二人が”間家にいらっしゃる家族や友人も幸せな日になるように”と願った結婚の日は、 幸せに満ちた3日間でした。
A day spent with the one you love.
“Please come to the wedding just as if you were coming over to our house.” The couple carefully prepared these three days and two nights with the guests in mind, hoping that it would be a day that would make the attending friends and family happy too.
Wedding Day One.
The bride and groom spent the first day with one another’s parents, a party of six. They cooked together at MAYA Kitchen and ate dinner. The groom’s family and bride’s family each slept in their own separate room. How long has it been since the bride and groom slept alongside their parents? The rooms on the night before the special day. I couldn’t see what was going on, but I’m sure it was an unforgettable time for everyone.
Wedding Day Two.
It was a pleasant morning with clear skies and crisp air. After having a simple breakfast of rice balls and miso soup, everyone got ready. The groom, who loves alcohol, and the bride, who is good at cooking, brought many varieties of alcohol and soft drinks from the wish that all the guests enjoy their mealtime to the fullest. The groom introduced the extensive drink menu, and served the guests, who all seemed to be enjoying choosing a drink to pair with the food. For the change of dress, the bride took the plunge and had her hair cut by the hairdresser she usually sees. The sight of the bride appearing suddenly with short hair drew cheers. I will never forget the look of satisfaction and sense of freedom on the bride’s face after she lopped off her long hair, which she had been growing for that reason. “I wanted to ask you to do this for me when I got married someday,” she said, choking up her words while expressing her gratitude, which brought tears to everyone’s eyes. During the cake cutting, the couple had their first bite with a spoon-shaped cookie handmade by the bride, and gave the guests’ children bouquets made out of candy. It was a special day that showed the couple’s care for detail in a way that was typical of them.
Wedding Day Three.
After everyone finished eating breakfast, the couple’s siblings’ families joined for a lively BBQ with 12 people in all. Maybe also since it was the third day, everyone seemed completely relaxed and sat in a happy family circle. The wedding day that the couple hoped would also bring joy to their friends and family were three days filled with happiness.
