あたたかな音色に包まれた日。

優しさに溢れた、飾らない新郎様。朗らかで、笑顔の絶えない新婦様。 そんなお二人が共通してお好きなのは、音楽でした。 結婚の日のはじまり。 MAYAでお二人のご到着をお待ちしていると、ギターを担いだ新郎様がいつも通りの優しい笑顔でお越しになりました。そして新婦様の腕の中にはお二人のお子様が。 穏やかな表情でこちらを見つめてくれていました。 到着すると、早速新郎様はギター片手に歌いはじめ、 お出迎えをさせていただいた私たちも、ついうっとりと聞き惚れてしまったのを想い出します。 夕暮れ時、両家のご家族が集います。 キッチンに皆様で肩を並べてお立ちになり、皆様での夕飯作りが始まりました。 お布団を敷きに行った際、玄関に入ると和やかな話し声と共に いい匂いがMAYAを包んでいました。あの時何を作っていたのかなと思い返すと今でもあたたかい気持ちになります。 ハレの日のはじまり。 お二人のハレの日は、ご家族、ご友人皆様が、音楽を奏でる時間が用意されていました。 朝から、演奏スペースの準備が始まります。 その横では、親御様が「あの歌を歌うの？」と言いながら、声出しを行っていたりと とにかく微笑ましい雰囲気。 私たちは、そんな中朝食のお支度を。 その時ふと新郎様のお父様が 「祝いの歌を歌おう！」と民話を歌ってくださいました。 周りのご家族も一緒になり、手拍子を打ちます。 素敵な1日のはじまりを予感させる、朝の一幕でした。 あたたかい日のさす昼下がり。 お二人のハレの日を祝うためお集まりいただいた皆様に見守られながら お庭でのお式がはじまります。 お二人のお子様もたくさん登場し、家族としての３人のお姿にその場は自然とあたたかい雰囲気に包まれました。 そして、「新郎新婦と愉快な仲間たちの音楽会」と題した披露宴がはじまります。 その名の通り、新婦様が歌い、新郎様とご友人様で演奏が奏でられ、ゲストの方が順番に、様々な楽器を持ち素敵な歌声を響かせてくださいます。 私たちを含めそこにいる皆様が、心地の良い音色に心踊らされました。 改めて、振り返るとお二人のハレの日は お二人はもちろん、お祝いに集まったゲストの方々が奏でる素敵な音楽で彩られていたように感じます。 その日も、ご両家皆様でお泊まりになられ ご家族水入らずで、ゆったりとお過ごしになりました。 3日目のチャックアウトの際、 お二人と両家の親御様から、寄せ書きのメッセージをいただきました。 そこにあった、MAYAでまた集まりたいというお言葉。 MAYAがお二人ご家族にとって、お家のようにまた帰って来たくなるような存在になれたのかなと想い、お二人がお帰りになった後もまた、あたたかい気持ちに包まれました。

A day filled with warm tones.

A day filled with warm tones. The groom is unpretentious and full of kindness. The bride is cheerfull and full of smiles. What they both loved to sharing together was music. The start of the wedding day. We are waiting at MAYA for the couple to come, and the groom arrived carrying his guitar, with his customary kind smile. The bride was carrying their child in her arms. They look over at us with calm expressions on their faces. When they arrived, the groom began singing with his guitar in one hand, and as we welcomed them, I remember how enchanted we weer listening to him. When the evening came, both families gathered. Everyone stood side by side in the kitchen and the began cooking. As I went to lay out the futon, I walked through the front door to hear the friendly talk and take in the nice smell that enveloped MAYA. Whenever I think back of what I was cooking that time I feel warm and fuzzy. The start of their special day. On that special day, some time was set aside for their families and friends to play some music. In the morning, the performance space was prepared. Next to them, both of their parents asked them “are you singing that song?” It was a heartwarming atmosphere. When that was going on, we were preparing breakfast. The groom’s father then suddenly said “let’s sing a celebratory song!” and sang a folk tale for us. The family gathered around and clapped along. It gave you the sense that a lovely day was beginning, of which the morning was the prelude. The afternoon was warm. We looked out over everyone who had gathered to celebrate the special day, and the ceremony began in the garden. The couple’s child joined in, and the sight of the family of three created a naturally warm atmosphere around the place. Then, the ceremony called “the Bride and Groom, and Their Wonderful Friends’ Musical Party” began. As the name suggests, the bride sang, and the groom and their friends played music, and the guests in turn played different instruments and sang beautifully. Everyone there, including us, danced to the soothing sounds. Looking back again on the couple’s special day, I feel like it was colored by the wonderful music played by the guests who came to celebrate, and of course by the couple themselves. That day, both families spent the night, relaxing and enjoying their time together. When we checked out on the third day, we received a message card from the couple and their families. The card said we hope to gather together again at MAYA. For the couple’s families, I wondered whether MAYA was a place they would come back to and stay at as a family, and after the couple departed, we were once more left with a warm feeling.
