家族愛が詰まった日。
MAYAのお庭が緑一面の新緑の季節。 穏やかなご夫婦には愛らしいお子様がいらっしゃいました。 大事な家族と、たいせつなご友人が集まる日は、 かたくなりすぎず、きてくださった方々と一緒にその時間を作り上げたい。そんな想いで過ごした3日間。
結婚の日1日目。
家族3人で穏やかに過ごされ、 夜ご飯はMAYAのシェフのおもてなし料理を家族揃って囲みました。 打ち合わせの中で、 ハレの日前日はどんなお食事を召し上がりたいかお話をお伺いしていくと、 「お子様プレートならぬ大人様プレート」が食べたいとお話に。 ファミリーレストランへ行っても1番美味しそうなメニューは、1つのお皿におかずがたくさんのったお子様プレート。 大人になったら頼めなくなるお料理は、MAYAだからこそ頼んでいただけたメニューの一つでもありました。 シェフと打合せを重ね、3種類のミックスフライを自家製のタルタルソースとオニオングラタンスープなど、複数種類のお料理をお皿に並べた大人様プレートを提供しました。 喜んでいただいたお二人の姿は、小さいお子様のような満面の笑顔でこちらまで嬉しくなったことを覚えています。
結婚の日2日目。
披露宴でのご挨拶は、お子様を抱っこして、家族揃って挨拶をしたり、ウェディングケーキ入刀のセレモニーでも3人で協力して共同作業を行ったりと家族の愛が詰まったハレの日でした。 一つ屋根の下で肩を並べてお食事を過ごしていると ゲスト全員でお子様をかわるがわる抱っこをしたりと、お話がたえることがなく、気がつくと距離が近くなっていて、ご家族やご友人の仲が深まるあたたかい時間となりました。
結婚の日3日目。
朝食の準備を入らせていただいた際、 昨日の余韻やぬくもりが残っていて、つい「お邪魔します。」と言いながら入ったことを思い出します。 「アットホームな雰囲気が私たちだけではなく 家族や友人にも非常に喜んでいただけました。」 そう綴られたお手紙は宿帳にひっそりと挟まっていました。 チェックアウトされた後にメッセージに気がつきましたが、 そのお手紙を読んでスタッフみんなで胸が熱くなったことを 思い出します。 またご家族揃ってきていただけることを心より楽しみにお待ちしています。 ゲストの方とつくりあげた時間は、家族の愛に包まれた素敵な3日間でした。
A day filled with familial love.
It is the season when MAYA’s garden becomes lush with fresh greenery. They are a sweet couple with an adorable child. They wanted to share the day with family and friends in a relaxed atmosphere, creating precious memories to be shared with those who came to the event. The three days were spent with these thoughts in mind.
Wedding Day 1
The family of three enjoyed a peaceful stay, with dinner prepared by MAYA’s chef for the whole family to enjoy together. During one of our meetings, I asked the couple what kind of meal they would like to have on the eve of the big day, and they mentioned that they would like to have a “grown-up version of a kid’s plate”. They explained that when they go to a family restaurant, the most appetizing item on the menu for them is the kids’ platter, which consists of many side dishes served on a single plate. Although these dishes are not usually available to adults, I knew MAYA could make it happen. After much discussion with the chef, we came up with an adult version of the Kid’s Plate that included three different types of fried foods with a homemade tartar sauce, onion gratin soup, and several other side dishes. The couple was so pleased with their meal, with big smiles on their faces like little children, a sight that made us all very happy.
Wedding Day 2
The wedding reception was a big day filled with family love, as the family greeted guests together with the child in their arms, and the three of them joined hands for the cake cutting ceremony. As all the guests enjoyed the meal under one roof, they took turns holding the child as conversation flowed and before they knew it, everyone had grown closer, creating a warm time for family and friends to get to know each other better.
Wedding Day 3
As I entered to prepare breakfast, I remember the lingering warmth of the previous day still in the air, so much so that I couldn’t help but apologize as I made my way in. “Not only we, but also our family and friends appreciated the cozy and intimate atmosphere.” Read the note they left, which I found tucked away in the guest book. It was only after they checked out that we noticed the note, but I remember how it touched the hearts of all our staff as we read it. We look forward to welcoming them and their family back. The moments we shared with our guests were three wonderful days filled with family love.
