家族になる日。
いつもにこやかで物腰の柔らかい優しい新郎様。おっとりした雰囲気でいつも周りを癒してくれる新婦様。MAYAに初めて来てくださった日、この家の空間や雰囲気に感動し、私たちがたいせつにしている「結婚の日」へ込めた想いにとても共感をしてくださったお二人でした。
そんなお二人の結婚の日は、ご自身の親御様を迎えることからはじまりました。
「いらっしゃい！」と玄関で嬉しそうに声をかけお出迎えをするお二人はどこか安心された表情で、楽しそうに家の中を案内されておりました。
夫婦としての誓いを立てる前、ひとつ屋根の下で、ご両家の親御様とお二人だけで過ごす夜は、少し照れくさいけれど、なんだかあたたかい気持ちになるそんな時間が流れているようでした。
ご披露宴当日。
ご家族と一緒に朝食を召し上がったあとは、それぞれお支度をはじめます。板の間から見えるお庭を眺めながら、ハレの日の衣裳を身に纏ったお二人は、賑やかになる前の静けさが残る家の中で、ゆったりとお写真を撮影されました。お二人やご家族だけで撮るこのお写真の時間は、見ているこちらも幸せな気分になります。
ご友人も加わりたくさんのゲストに見守られながら過ごした挙式披露宴。たいせつな人たちだけお呼びしているからこそ、今日この日にどんな人たちが来ているのかを知ってもらいたい。そんな想いからゲスト紹介のお時間を作られたお二人は、学生時代から現在のお仕事関係の方々、ご家族の皆様をご紹介し、当時のエピソードなどをゲストの方からお話しいただきました。
和やかな雰囲気で結んだハレの日。
ご友人様をお見送りしたあとは、再びご家族とのお時間です。ご両家の親御様、ご兄弟、ご親戚の方々にお集まりいただき、皆様でご夕食をとっていただきました。
前日に一晩過ごしていた親御様同士はすっかり意気投合され、会話も弾み、笑いの絶えない食卓でした。
ご夕食のお時間以外にも、皆様でお庭を眺めながらソファに腰掛ける時間、ジェンガを囲んで盛り上がる様子など、それぞれの家族として集まったご両家が、本当にひとつの家族になっていく瞬間が目の前にたくさん広がっていました。
ご両家が家族になる最初の日。
1日の数時間ではなく、1泊2日でもない、2泊3日である意味を感じた気がします。
The day to become a family.
The groom is always smiling and has a gentle demeanor. The bride has a calm and soothing presence that always comforts those around her. On the day they first came to MAYA, they were deeply moved by the atmosphere and ambiance of this house, and they resonated with the emotions we put into the “wedding day” that we cherish. Their wedding day began with welcoming their parents. “Welcome!” The two of them happily greeted their parents at the entrance, with a relieved expression, and joyfully guided them inside the house. Before making their vows as a married couple, they spent a night together under one roof, with only their parents. It was a slightly awkward but warm time that seemed to flow with a sense of happiness. On the day of the wedding reception. After having breakfast with their families, they each began to prepare. The two of them, dressed in their special attire for the special day, looked out at the garden from the tatami room and leisurely took photos in the quietness that remained in the house before it became lively. The time spent taking these photos with just the two of them and their families makes us feel happy as well. The wedding ceremony and reception were spent with many guests, including their friends, watching over them. Because they only invited important people, they wanted to let everyone know who is here on this day. With that in mind, the two created time to introduce guests and introduced people from their student days to their current work colleagues and had guests share stories from their past and present. It was a joyous day filled with a harmonious atmosphere. After seeing off their friends, it was time to spend with their families again. Both sets of parents, siblings, and relatives gathered together to have dinner. The parents, who had spent the previous night together, got along well and the conversation flowed, making for a lively dinner table. In addition to dinner, there were also moments when everyone sat on the sofa and enjoyed the view of the garden, as well as moments of excitement while playing Jenga. The two families, who had gathered as separate families, were truly becoming one family, and there were many moments of that happening right before their eyes. It was the first day of both families becoming one. It felt like more than just a few hours in a day, and not just one night and two days, but rather a sense of the meaning of two nights and three days.
